WOW GUYS!! IT'S BEEN FOREVER!!!!

Just wanted to let all of my adoring fans know that I'm still alive over here!! This will just be a picture update on my life from the last several months. Enjoy...

First off, we're sad to say that our precious little friend, Oreo, ran away to fulfill her destiny.
We are happy that she is following her dreams and hope that someday she will come back to our family so that we can all be together again.

Now it's down to just me and Sprinkles... We spend a lot of quality time together. Whether it's sleeping...

...On the roof in some cases :)

Tree climbing,

Eating tuna,

Spying on my prey
(I'm only vicious when defending my family. Don't worry),

Watching Sprinkles entertain all our guests with her singing,
Or just hanging out!!

...Life is good y'all!!!!!
Thanks for all your amazing support. You guys are the best friends a cat could ever ask for!!!!!
Until next time...
xoxo, Flynn

Cats at the Window, Cats in the House

Once upon a time on a cold wintery day Sprinkles the cat sat on the kitchen windowsill desperately dreaming of being in the warm house on the other side of the window.
She peered inside hoping one of the people living there might spot her.  Unsuccessful she decided to wait...
She waited....
and waited...
aaaannnnddd waited..
AAAANNNNDD waited....but no one came.
She even pressed her nose up against the glass thinking maybe her silly face would attract attention.  Unsuccessful, again.  So she turned her back, sad she couldn't enjoy the warm house.
Then there was a small tap on the window.  Yet Sprinkles was so discouraged, she didn't even hear it. Oreo heard it though.  She bolted across the yard and joined Sprinkles on the windowsill.  Oreo peered through the glass hoping to get into the warm house.
But this frustrated Sprinkles.  Since she had waited so long, she ought to be the one allowed inside when the window opened.
So she punched Oreo in the arm...
then pounced on her head...
But Oreo would not be defeated.  Rising from beneath she pushed Sprinkles down.
Yet in the act of doing that Oreo lost balance and flipped off the windowsill.
What a victory for Sprinkles.  She sat back and grinned, so proud of her accomplishment.
In that moment she thought she heard a tap on the window.  She spun around to check things out, but then remembered her victory over Oreo, stuck her nose in the air and turned her back.
And that's when the window began opening.  The rush of warm air and the pressing of the glass on her back startled Sprinkles.
She tumbled off the sill and scampered into the bushes below.
All along Flynn kept a watchful eye on the scene, observing the fight between her daughters, and now carefully watching the window open wider.  What would she do?  Oreo cowered off to the side as well, but her curiosity and desire for the warm air caused her to forget the whole episode with Sprinkles earlier.
She darted up to the windowsill once more and felt a burst of warmth on her paws.  Purr-fect!
The window continued to open as she peeked underneath.  Warm air tickled her whiskers.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tell us how you think the story ended!  Did Oreo get into the house?  Was Sprinkles brave enough to jump back up there to feel the warm air?  What happened to Flynn?
Cats Play Patty Cake
Note***  These are NOT our cats....
Flynn, Oreo and Sprinkles simply get a big kick out of seeing their distant relatives playing this game.
One Wintery Night
Returning from an evening out earlier this week, we hopped out of the car to find Flynn all snuggled up in a quilt in the garage.
 Trying to escape the cold, were you, Flynn?
Oreo's Talent
Have you ever wondered what cats dream of on cold, rainy mornings like today?
Evidently Oreo wanted nothing more than to be indoors again...
The Story of Flynn's Kittens
On July 2nd Flynn gave birth to 4 adorable kittens.
We named them Sprinkles, Oreo, Noodle, and Pixie.  It was obvious that Flynn loved her babies dearly, but something was clearly wrong.  One by one the little kittens stopped moving and wouldn't eat on their own.
The vet suggested feeding them with little medicine droppers, but that didn't help.
Sadly, all four kittens died within 24 hours.
Flynn was depressed for the first while.  She wandered around the house in search of her babies but couldn't find them.  We were also heartbroken.
SO
We went to the animal shelter and picked out 2 kittens without a mother and brought them home to Flynn.
^^Meet Sprinkles
^^and Oreo
They have definitely added joy to our home.  Flynn adopted them as her own immediately.
We're REALLY going to try to get back to posting regularly about the cats!  Stay tuned!
Midnight Visitor
we know it's been like almost forever since there was an update on flynn...
more like there haven't been ANY updates on the cat since she moved outdoors...
SO SORRY!!!
just to give you the scoop on what's up in her life--
-flynn is a natural-born hunter.  we look out the window to see her sneaking up on squirrels and chipmunks and lizards everyday, and she often delivers her little gifts to our doorstep.  mmhmmm very pleasant. ;)
-we still bring flynn indoors to sleep every night.  at least we thought she was sleeping ;)
not too long ago, around 3 in the morning we heard this loud noise, sounding almost like a person singing in his sleep.  we went looking around only to find that it was flynn disturbing the peace, evidently chatting with her friend through the window.  we believe this may be the lucky fellow who will father her kittens...
whaaaat?  kittens?!!!
-yes, that's another thing...we think flynn will be a mother within the next month.  in preparation for motherhood she spends LOTS of time resting while her belly grows large ;)  it's quite the contrast from the bouncy little flynn we knew a few months ago.
but we're all so excited!!!  imagine how cute mini-flynns will be!  yes, yes!  and i know what you're thinking...we'll try to get back to posting often so that you can see pictures!
see you guys soon! :)
Off on an Adventure
hey friends!
i just wanted to pop in and let y'all know that i won't be blogging much from here on...
i know, {sniff} it's sad.  let me explain...
truth is, i'm a busy cat.  since my first adventure outside a few weeks ago i've been out a lot more.  these last few days especially i've been around the neighborhood exploring full-time!  and i think i'm ready to call it home.
that's right!
no more living inside- time to be free!
i know that all of you may be anxious about my wellbeing from here on out (i've heard there's a lot more danger out in "the wild"), so my owners have agreed to keep this blog up for me, giving little updates on my life as they watch me through the window.
how does that sound?
try not to worry too much about me.  i'm really having a blast!
i love y'all lots!
love, flynn
A Whole New World
hey guys!
sorry for my lack of blogging lately.  lots of you have told me it's time for another post...well here it is!
it's not that i've been busy or anything.  my owners are actually really busy and don't have as much time to create my posts as they once did...so sorry!
i'll try to get them to do better from now on.
i have some big news to share!!!!  drumroll please....
i got to go outside for the first time yesterday!!!!  yaaaaay!  a dream come true!
lemme check this place out...
there were these huge colorful boxy things moving quickly down the road that really interested me.  i know i've seen them from the window for forever, but i had no clue how big they are when you get up close.  my owners say they're called cars and trucks and that humans travel from one place to another in them.  really?  what's the point?  don't their legs work?  those crazy people...
how cool!  a truck!
it was a fabulous experience and i can't wait till my next outing!
